Reviving Tradition with AI-Powered Robotics 

 In today's rapidly changing technology, the new generation of people are not willing to learn traditional games and find them boring. The main reason behind it is that they prefer digital entertainment. That is why the primary objective of this project is to dedicate its resources toward bringing back the light to Kuwaiti traditional games, especially Dama. By applying nowadays technology to the old traditional games, they can be revived, attracting not only the youth but also the elderly. The applied technology:

Robotics 

The robotic arm, powered by servo motors, precisely moves Dama pieces on the board. Its four-degree-of-freedom design ensures accuracy and smooth movement, blending tradition with modern automation for an interactive experience.   

Reinforcement Learning 

The robot uses reinforcement learning (RL) to improve gameplay by learning from past moves. It predicts strategies, adapts to player skill levels, and makes optimal decisions, offering a challenging and dynamic match. 

Computer Vision 

A 4K webcam, powered by YOLOv8 and OpenCV, captures the 8x8 chessboard with precision for object and edge detection. This setup ensures accurate game piece recognition, enabling real-time strategic analysis. 

Chatbot 

The integrated chatbot enables voice interaction, explaining rules, adjusting game settings, and answering player queries. This modern feature makes the game more engaging and accessible for all ages. 

 3D Printing 

The pawns and some board structure were crafted using 3D printing for precision and customization. This method ensures durability and accuracy while keeping the design lightweight and optimized for gameplay. 

Web App 

A user-friendly web app provides an interactive platform for controlling the robot and playing the game. It allows players to choose game modes, track performance, and receive real-time feedback, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
